A Warm March

This woman is pausing to look out over Lake Galena on a warm March afternoon- a very peaceful moment at Peace Valley Park. I'm a sucker for the drama of back-lighting, especially on red hair.

  6. I love the way that you were dealing with the background -- with minimal value change, only color temperature variations, and using textures and brushstrokes to hint the foliage and branches. The back lid figure is full of drama, yet the lacenciousness in the air was captured perfectly in the pose and the flow of the hair. One can almost feel the light-hearted feeling of spring in the air...
